Getting phone updates can be quite exciting. New features, along with various performance improvements, will usually greet the user upon the successful updating of their phone. This is especially true with the Android Lollipop update, which adds new features such as better Google services integration with the Google Now on Tap, the battery management feature Doze, along with various usability improvements. Even the overall design of the OS received slight tweaks to better fit with Google’s Material Design.
While Nexus devices were the first phones to receive the updates, other phone manufacturers have rolled-out the Lollipop update sometime after. One of the said manufacturers is Starmobile, which has now released Lollipop updates for their KNIGHT Luxe and UP Neo models.
Starmobile KNIGHT Luxe and UP Neo users can now enjoy an enhanced mobile experience as the Android Lollipop update goes live. Available via the built-in over-the-air (OTA) feature, the new Operating System can be downloaded without the need for a PC.
To receive the upgrade, simply go to the Starmobile Care App and click on the update field. A stable Internet connection with a speed of at least 1Mbps is advisable as well as 1GB of free space. A factory reset is recommended after the update.
