It’s sleek, sexy, and definitely ups your mobile tech game a few notches. But is this keyboard worth getting? We weigh in our thoughts.

Wireless tech manufacturer Rapoo has just released it’s new line of Bluetooth keyboards, designed to work with all manner of smart devices, especially tablets. The E5700 Bluetooth Keyboard is sleek, sexy, and a perfect compliment to turn your tablet into a notebook computer replacement. We got the chance to play around with it and it’s a thing of beauty right out of the box.

Slim but tough and easy to use

Don’t let the sexy look fool you. The E6700 might look like it can easily break, but its aluminium body is designed to make the device stable and can take a beating at the same time. It comes with a USB charging cable and not much else, because it’s pretty straightforward to use. You just turn it and your device’s Bluetooth on, and you’re ready to pair.

In a usual desktop keyboard, the tenkey number keys are placed on the right side. The E6700 has a touchpad in place of these, adding to the “laptop” feel when you connect it to your tablet. The pad is multi-touch, but doesn’t really play well when you connect to an iOS product due to Apple’s strict controls over third-party devices.

For something so slim, the E6700 has an outstanding built-in battery. You can charge it via USB to top up in three hours but lasts more than a day of continued use!

Verdict: A great investment

If your cheap BT keyboard is right about to give up, or if you want something thinner than the device you’re using, then the E6700 is definitely worth taking a second look. It’s sexy curves complement the best tablets out there and the touchpad will save you the hassle of wiping fingerprints off of your screen.

The Rapoo E6700 Bluetooth keyboard is now available in gadget stores nationwide.
