Store it then stream it – that’s how WD wants your content to be, thanks to cloud storage solutions and the Plex app.

Sure, there are a lot of cloud storage offerings out there. ASUS and LG are both offering an additional 100GB storage good for two years when you get the ZenFone 2 and G4 respectively, but that’s not going to hold all your files forever (unless you fork over around P2,500 a year).

Enter WD’s My Cloud line of storage solutions. My Cloud comes in a couple of storage flavors from 1TB all the way to 8TB, which is great for storing HD movies, music, photos, and of course, important documents. When you add Plex – an app that organizes your media ready to stream to any screen – then you’ve got your files safe and available anywhere you go.

The whole concept is as easy as reading the infographic below:

You can share your files to family or friends as well, provided they also have the Plex app on their smartphone, tablet, or TV. There are other apps that allow you to stream your content to any screen from a storage area, but WD has been known for secure storage solutions accessible to just about anyone. The addition of Plex to the mix just means you can easily send your video to your secure My Cloud storage, then use the Plex app to watch it anywhere, anytime.

Plex supports the following My Cloud NAS products: My Cloud Mirror, My Cloud EX2/EX4, My Cloud EX2100/EX4100 and My Cloud DL2100/4100).
