Esports in undeniably a big industry today, with lots of organizations (both big and small) forming or acquiring Esports teams of their own. From FPS games such as CS:GO, to MOBAs like Dota 2 and Heroes of the Storm, Esports is very popular; this has prompted Zenway Productions, an end-to-end events management and production company that specializes in gaming and esports, to acquire the up and coming HotS team, DeadlyKittens.

Zenway Productions is proud to announce the acquisition of esports team DeadlyKittens. After consistently finishing with top placements in the major tournaments they participated in – they were the champions from 2015 to 2017 in the Southeast Asian Heroes of the Storm Global Championships (HGC) – DeadlyKittens has gained a reputation as the team to watch out for in the region.

Currently, DeadlyKittens consists of a Heroes of the Storm team and Zenway hopes to eventually expand to other games.

“With DeadlyKittens recently qualifying to represent SEA in Dreamhack, we felt like this would be a good time to do our part in supporting and growing the esports scene here,” says Lee Jian Ming, founder of Zenway Productions. “We have close bonds with the Heroes community here in SEA and have watched this particular team grow from strength to strength.  I feel that they have the potential to push themselves even further with proper support.”

With a USD$250,000 prize pool, the HGC is a major event where the top teams of Heroes of the Storm are brought together to compete at the highest level.

“With Zenway Productions’ support, we have secured another milestone for our team,” says Michael “DK.Mirr” Luo, team captain of DeadlyKittens. “There is lots of talent in this region to be nurtured and I hope there will be much more support for esports to come in future.  We definitely have the skills to make our mark in the global scene.”

DeadlyKittens will be making their way to Dreamhack Summer 2017, held in Sweden, to represent SEA at the Heroes of the Storm Global Championship Mid-Season Brawl.  More information on their matches and streams can be found at http://us.heroesofthestorm.com/esports/en/ and http://www.dreamhack.se/dhs17/esports/heroes-of-the-storm/
