Looking to level up your gaming experience without emptying your wallet? ASUS has just dropped their newest budget-friendly gaming machines in the Philippines – the ASUS Gaming V16 and X16. These laptops are ASUS’ latest effort to make quality gaming more accessible to Filipino gamers who are watching their budgets but still want solid performance.

ASUS Gaming: Beasts on budget beats
Let’s be real – gaming isn’t cheap these days. But the new ASUS Gaming lineup aims to give you decent specs without the premium price tag. ASUS Gaming is for the stealth gamers; those who want a machine that can look the part of daytime digital nomad but in reality, you’re playing Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. So no, these don’t look like ROG laptops nor do they have the form factor of TUF laptops. These are more sleek, low profile, and overall, right in our alley in terms of looks.
Powered by up to Intel Core 5 (Series 2) processors and GeForce RTX 5060 GPUs with DLSS 4, these machines aren’t playing around. With 16GB DDR5 RAM and 512GB storage, you won’t have to worry about your system choking mid-game or running out of space for your backlog.
The 16-inch displays are pretty sweet too – they’ve got FHD IPS panels running at 144Hz with an 89% screen-to-body ratio. Translation? Smooth, tear-free gaming that’s easy on the eyes. We’ve tested enough gaming laptops to know that refresh rate matters, and 144Hz hits that sweet spot for most gamers.
Sound quality is often overlooked, but ASUS didn’t skimp here. The Dirac audio tech and ASUS Audio Booster deliver decent sound, though as always, we recommend keeping your gaming headset handy for the best experience. For those long Discord sessions with your squad, the AI noise-cancellation will keep your teammates from hearing your family or roommates in the background.
The touchpads are 40% larger than similar models, which is nice for when you’re not using a gaming mouse. The ASUS ErgoSense keyboard comes with a Turbo Blue backlight and transparent WASD and arrow keys with neon highlights – giving you that gamer aesthetic without going overboard.
For connectivity, you’re getting two USB Type-A ports, a USB Type-C, HDMI, DC-in jack, and Audio Combo Jack. The X16 model throws in an SD Card Reader as a bonus, which is handy if you’re also using your laptop for content creation.
These ASUS Gaming laptops aren’t just for home use – with a 63Wh battery, ASUS IceCool Thermal Technology (dual fans and heat pipes), and military-grade durability, you can game on the go without worrying about overheating or damage. The V16 measures 1.8cm thin and weighs 1.95kg in Matte Black, while the X16 is slightly trimmer at 1.89cm and 1.8kg in Indie Black.
Pricing and Availability

The ASUS Gaming Series hits Philippine stores on May 6, 2025, with RTX 30 and 40 GPU models available immediately. If you’re holding out for the RTX 5060 model, you’ll need to wait until June.

Each purchase from ASUS and ROG Stores includes an ASUS backpack, 2-year International Warranty, 1-year Accidental Damage Protection, and a 3-month PC Game Pass – not a bad deal for budget-conscious gamers.
ASUS Gaming x Genshin Impact

And here’s a nice bonus – ASUS has partnered with Genshin Impact for the launch. Buy an eligible ASUS Gaming V16/X16 from ASUS and ROG Exclusive Stores between May 6 and June 15, 2025, and you’ll get an Official Genshin Impact Mousepad to start your gaming journey right.
