BenQ has officially expanded its display portfolio in the Philippines with the launch of its new MA Series monitors, specifically engineered to integrate natively with the Apple ecosystem. Headlined by the flagship MA270S and MA320UG models, the lineup aims to eliminate the color inconsistencies, scaling issues, and control friction that Mac users frequently encounter when using traditional external displays.

Rather than offering generic hardware with baseline macOS compatibility, BenQ has developed the MA Series to serve as a literal extension of a MacBook or Mac Studio. The monitors feature Mac-tuned color accuracy, matching Apple’s proprietary color profiles out of the box, alongside a minimalist physical design language that mirrors Apple’s hardware aesthetic.

Choose Your Workflow: 5K Precision vs. 120Hz Pro Motion

The MA Series addresses two distinct segments of the creative industry, dividing its flagship offerings by resolution and panel speed:

BenQ MA270S
For: Graphic Designers, Photographers, Visual Artists
Resolution: 5K
Pixel Density: 218 PPI (Pixel-Perfect Scaling)
Color Spectrum: 99% P3 Wide Color Gamut
Contrast Ratio: 2000:1

BenQ MA320UG
For: Video Editors, Multimedia Creators, Animators
Resolution: 4K
Pixel Density: 120Hz High Refresh Rate
Color Spectrum: 98% P3 Wide Color Gamut
Contrast Ratio: 2000:1

The MA270S is tailored for static design workflows where print-accurate rendering is non-negotiable.

With its 5K resolution at 218 PPI, it matches the native pixel density of Apple’s built-in Retina displays, preventing scaling artifacts.

Conversely, the MA320UG prioritizes temporal fluidity for timeline-based workloads. It introduces a 120Hz high refresh rate to the Mac creator space, ensuring ultra-smooth playback and UI responsiveness during intensive video editing or motion graphics rendering.

Native macOS Control and Studio Connectivity

The hallmark of the MA Series is its software integration via BenQ’s Display Pilot 2 utility. The software bridges the gap between hardware and OS, allowing users to adjust the monitor’s brightness and volume parameters directly through their native MacBook keyboard function keys, removing the need to navigate cumbersome On-Screen Display (OSD) monitor menus.

On the connectivity front, the monitors function as full desktop docking stations:

  • Thunderbolt 4 Architecture: Enables high-speed data transmission, multi-display daisy-chaining, and high-wattage power delivery to charge a MacBook over a single cable.
  • Smart KVM Switch: Allows creators to control two distinct Mac systems (such as an iMac and a MacBook Pro) simultaneously using a single keyboard and mouse set.
  • Nano Gloss & Nano Matte Panels: Available across different configurations to give users control over reflection mitigation while preserving the high contrast ratios native to Apple displays.

Philippine Pricing and Local Availability

The current baseline variants, the MA270UP and MA320UP, which offer 4K IPS glossy panels, 95% DCI-P3 color gamuts, and 90W USB-C power delivery, are currently available through authorized local retail partners and official online storefronts on Shopee and Lazada.

The newly announced high-tier flagships, the BenQ MA270S and MA320UG, are scheduled to hit Philippine retail channels and distribution hubs within the month. Local pricing updates and pre-order parameters will be updated through BenQ Philippines’ official communication channels.
