We’ve already had a few flagship launches earlier this year, and that includes the realme G2 Series, headlined by the realme G2 Pro.
At first glance, it has a body that you’ve seen many times before, but a closer look would reveal the difference: conceptualized by Japanese industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa who is well known for his work with the lifestyle retail company MUJI, the realme G2 Pro’s rear panel is inspired by paper, and was done in collaboration with Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), which produced from an ISCC-certified biopolymer. realme claims that this biopolymer “reduces carbon emissions during manufacturing of the rear panel by 35.5%.”
Under the hood, the G2 Pro runs on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Platform (which gives you 5G support) backed by 12 GB of RAM and 255 GB of storage, and all powered by a 5000 mAh battery.
It has a 50 MP + 50 MP primary snapper system, and touts a 150° ultra-wide smartphone camera. This admittedly sounds good on paper, but we have yet to test if this lens produces clear shots or distorts images at edges. Its rear and front cameras feature Sony technology.

The realme G2 Pro, which was launched in China in January 2022 and introduced in MWC Barcelona on February 28, is available in three colors: Paper Green, Paper White, and Steel Black. This new flagship series also features the realme G2.
