One of Overwatch’s annual events is now available for players on PC, PS4, XBox, and Nintendo Switch. The Halloween event tradition started in 2016 with the first Halloween Terror. Now, Halloween Terror 2020 will run from October 14 until November 4, 2020 and will feature new spooky legendary skins for Genji, Hanzo, Winston, Sigma, and D. Va. As usual, all other skins will be available from lootboxes together with these new Halloween skins.
Halloween Terror 2020: Junkenstein’s Revenge
The mad Junkenstein is back to terrorize players with new challenge missions for Halloween Terror 2020. There will be two missions to undertake per week for a total of six.
Week 1 will unlock Vengeful Ghost and Frenzied Stampede. Vengeful Ghost will have a deadly ghost chase and attack players as they do the Junkenstein’s Revenge mission. Frenzied Stampede will have Zomnics have faster movespeed so players will need to dispose of them quickly before they overwhelm the team.
Week 2 will have Volatile Zomnics and Three They Were challenges. Zomnics will explode whenever they are near a player. In Three They Were, only three players will be able to play in a team but are compensated with increased damage.
Week 3 will have players experiencing Mystery Swap and Shocking Surprise. Mystery Swap will have a hero pool selection that’s randomized and Shocking Surprise will have enemies spawn Shock Tires on death. Limited hero selection plus on death hazards will be a challenge to teams and more thought-out picks are needed.
In addition to the weekly challenges, Baptiste and Ashe have joined Junkenstein’s side to help him achieve his nefarious scheme.
Halloween Terror 2020 Rewards
As with all events, Halloween Terror 2020 challenges may be completed via Quick Play, Competitive Play, or the Arcade. Players will be able to unlock limited-time sprays, player icons, and an epic skin on top of standard earnings normally received for playing Overwatch.
